A Community Program Built to Recognize Local Impact
Guin Cares is a local outreach program created to shine a light on people whose actions make life better for others. It is inspired by the idea that real heroes are often found close to home—teachers, volunteers, caregivers, mentors, veterans, coaches, neighbors, and others who give their time and energy without asking for recognition.
This program gives our community a way to nominate someone whose story deserves to be heard. Once nominations are reviewed, Guin will select a recipient and celebrate them in a meaningful way.
Who Makes a Great Guin Cares Nominee?
We're looking for someone whose actions have made a real difference in the lives of others. That could mean:
- Someone who lives in Irondale
- Someone who has gone beyond what is normally expected
- Someone who has had a positive impact on the community
- Someone known for good character, compassion, and service
- Someone who may be in need of new equipment or meaningful support
